Karl Tameron lives alone in the apartment, though Fred hangs out with him often as he is the only one who can hear her. He is a fairly big nerd, practically lives on the computer, also does his schooling there. He can repair almost anything computer related, and makes some money that way. Before moving to the apartment he lived with his Aunt and Uncle. As the chosen "Gate Keeper" he uses the control pad to run the alternative dimension portal in his cupboard.  He has a bad habit of overeating and a problem keeping his weight under control. The couch in his apartment can turn into a giant robot under his command. Karl is openly in love with Sal, who is unsure of her own feelings. Though once bitter and jealous of Jason he has since formed a close relationship with him, but he often gets into fights with Bob.
