Feeling guilty over the disfigurement of Karl's face, Sal attempted to perform a complicated spell in order to restore it. It might have worked too if one of the ingredients didn't accidentally get switched. The result was this, a copy of Karl. This copy of Karl had the face, but was very different from the original Karl. Basically, he's a asshole. He has broken memories form being Karl, he is aware he was part of him, what part exactly we don't know. He even knows some things Karl doesn't. He didn't make a good impression at the apartment and was kicked out. He was returned to the magic shop, where Miyagi found him and hired him for his skills with robotics.
