How do I contact you?

When Does Emergency Exit Update?

EE currently updates 3 times per week Monday-Wednesday-Friday. Occasionally the update schedule will change, keep an eye on the main page.  If an update is missed, check my forums. Please don't freak out if a update is missed or delayed, I am for the most part a very reliable updater who has never in over 5 years gone on hiatus. Mirror site is located here.

Why are there so many mistypes (and other bad things) in the beginning?

Because I sucked and had no editor. No I do not need an editor, nor do I need anyone reporting mistypes to me unless they are for recent pages. I have an editor now and am slowly fixing the archives. Things like missing periods or slightly confusing speech bubble order will not be fixed because I do not have the time nor do I have the original PSD files any more. It's not easy editing tiny JPEG files. The art is bad simply because I wasn't as good. The storyline can be confusing for the same reason, simply progressing as I go. I was very amateur when I started, and I am still not a professional.

Why does another person's name appear on the strip's credit sometimes?

Example, on the very first EE strip, at the bottom it says "by NJ Huff and Amy Dewar", though most of the time it's just me. Usually this means that the second person had something to do with that strip specifically. In the example's case, Amy actually wrote that strip. In other cases the person might be responsible for the basic idea for a strip, or part of the punchline for a strip. It also occurs when I am in a crossover. If it's from a friend that often helps me brainstorm EE I usually give them strip credit. I do have fans that occasionally send me ideas, however I take full credit on those so keep that in mind when emailing me. The most frequent names you'll see are Kyle Gerdes, Orion Gates and Ben Fleuter.

Will Emergency Exit and Undead Friend ever cross over?

No. There are some characters that are the same, it happens in the same universe. But no, no official crossover. So please stop asking me. PLEASE.

Why do you hate Undead Friend?

I don't hate Undead Friend. In fact I love it very much. That's why I am putting it on hold until I have the time and skills to really devote to it. it is NOT dead, it IS coming back.

Will you teach me how to make a webcomic?

Basically, no.  Please don't e-mail me asking for advice on making a webcomic, if you have something very specific I can answer easily you may contact me but otherwise I just don't have time. Here are some useful links for making webcomics.

Webcomic Tutorials (Good place to start)    Comic Genesis (specifically their forums even if you're not hosted on CG)

Blambot Comic Fonts (Good for getting fonts to use)    Webcomic Promotion Guide (Good collection of ideas on how to gain readership).

Will you link to my comic?

If you have to ask, most likely no. I only link to comics I read. However I will attach your link to any fan work you submit in my galleries. Fanwork, joining the forums or linking me will increase your chances of me noticing your comic though.

Will you crossover with my comic?

No, for now I am not looking for any more comics to have crossovers with. You're always welcomed to cameo EE characters though.

Can I has spoilers?

No, don't email me for blatant spoilers, amazingly enough I have had people try. The best bet for extra information is to join and participate in the forums, as I sometimes post extra spoilerish stuff there but even on the forums you may not ask me directly for them.

Can I make EE Fan fiction or Fan art or other Fan things, and will you post them on your site?

Pretty much anything EE-related will go on my site. I have an entire section of the site dedicated to fan work.  I will use all incoming art first as voting incentives, during which links to any site of the artists will be given in news blog. It's a good method of getting some advertising on my page. I also just absolutely love getting fan work.

How many EE comics have you made so far?

This can vary all the time because I tend to change my mind what counts as a real page in EE, often the bonus stuff doesn't get counted even though they're comics too. As of November 7th,  2008 I have a count of 1008 pages in the main EE archives.

Are you a guy or a girl?

I am of the female gender, you can find me haning out on TomGeeks.
